…this is the first time in my life I’ve ever been able to successfully wink my right eye.
Then again, it’s completely glued and swollen shut so winking my left eye has lost its charm.

If you can wink with one eye but both eyes end up closed, in our family that’s called “twinkling.” It sorta looks like you can cry out of just one eye too. That would be a trick. You might be able to join the circus and meet that one Mexican family with hirsutism.

Listen I ain’t no medic but I do know it’s important to finish a course of anti-biotics - be sure to endure to the end.

Take your dad up on the nursing you back to health. I recommend the daily eating of chocolate fudge and an hour massage from a spa. And lots and lots of babysitting care so that you can sleep as late as you wish.
