Ha! I love that you had the guts to dig through the trailer, then send your husband to dig through the trailer, then blog about it. That is pure awesomeness. I would have done it, too, I think.

Your mom is a Dec 1 hardliner! That sounds exactly like my mom too. I love that you put the decorations up on Halloween.

I had a box of shoes that I was sure had disappeared. I distinctly remembered my two older girls wearing little red Mary Janes with their Christmas dresses when they were one year old. And now my youngest is one year old, and my husband and I BOTH searched the attic for the missing box of size-3 shoes, but couldn't find them. And then yesterday we took out our Christmas decorations and I found them. Someone had put Christmas lights in the box on top them, but they they were--pairs and pairs of little girl shoes in sizes 2-4. Even though half of them no longer fit my youngest, I think the little red Mary Janes will still fit on her at Christmastime. I predict that one day a year or two for now you will find your adorable mitten garland in a box of too-small clothes or old car parts. Attics and garages have a way of devouring things like that.
